This is a wonderful opportunity to really dig into our carving practice. My goal is for students to become more confident and daring in their use of tools (gouges, spokeshaves, drawknives, scrapers, carving axe, adze, and more) while also refining what it is they want to say in carving. We will explore the interplay of convex and concave in bowl forms which can become the foundation for free -form carving ideas.
This is a soft and sculpted eating spoon with a splash of color. It has subtly wavy grain and this layer of crimson red that makes its simple shape come to life.
Sanded smooth finish
