Maple Ladle
Maple Ladle
Made from hard maple, this is a follow-the-curve-of-the grain spoon. A shape I could not have dreamt up. Its winds its way in three dimensions to its potential task. It will ladle or stir deep within a pot. Its handle is incised with three rings painted with milk paint. All knifed finish.
Length: 13.5”
Bowl width: 2”
Care + Finish
All of my spoons are finished with a pure raw linseed oil (not the linseed oil found in most hardware stores which has harmful additives in it).
Wash with warm soapy water. No dishwashers.
After months of use if they look dry, re-oil using a food safe oil such as walnut oil, flax oil, or mineral oil. Just wipe on with a cloth and let it sit out in the open to dry. Any excess the next day can be wiped off. This keeps them looking good and rinsing nicely over the years.
This is a soft and sculpted eating spoon with a splash of color. It has subtly wavy grain and this layer of crimson red that makes its simple shape come to life.
Sanded smooth finish
